Bend Elks Welcome Kyle Nobach as 2020 Head Coach

The Bend Elks are proud to welcome Kyle Nobach as head coach for the 2020 Bend Elks team!

Nobach is in his second year as an associate head coach and hitting coach at Everett Community College. Everett Baseball went 39-11 in the 2019 season, with a team batting average of .267 and a .378 on base average, going on the be 2nd in the NWAC Championships.

“We are very excited to have Kyle on for the 2020 season,” Bend Elks General Manager said. “He will be a great addition to the staff, bringing lots of energy and knowledge to the ballpark and our players every day.”

Before coaching, Nobach played one year at Everett CC before going on to play 3 years for Oregon State Baseball. In his three seasons at OSU, Nobach totaled 32 doubles, 10 home runs, 82 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases with a .299 batting average, .388 on base average, and a .449 slugging average and being All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention in 2015. Nobach played left field during the 2018 College World Series with a batting average of .297 and an on base average of .413 during the championship series that the Beavers won.

We believe that Nobach will bring a championship attitude and experience to the Bend Elks and to the development of our players.

Nobach has an understanding of the competition the West Coast League provides through his two summers of experience as a player, 2015 with the Kitsap Bluejackets and 2016 with the WCL Champion Corvallis Knights.

“The opportunity in becoming the head coach of an organization has always been a dream of mine. Being able to lead young ball players, and teach them about mindset, attitude, brotherhood, and life is why I coach” said Kyle Nobach. “Thank you to the Bend Elks and the people who have influenced me over the years. Excited to be back in the West Coast League again!”

Joining Nobach for the 2020 coaching staff will be Lewis-Clark State assistant coach Anthony Balderas and Bend Elks and Oregon State alumni and undergraduate assistant coach Joey Wong.

The Bend Elks look forward to the 2020 season with Kyle, Anthony, and Joey and cannot wait for summer to come back to Bend!
