Bend, OR. - After a night in which the Elks erupted for 17 runs, Bend's bats fell quiet in the second game of the series against Port Angeles, losing to the Lefties 7-1.

The Elks set the tone early, per usual, jumping out to a 1-0 lead on a one-run single by Braeden Terry. Yet, Bend would post just two hits from that moment on, getting dominated by Port Angeles pitching that allowed just one walk and one earned run less than 24 hours after the Lefties handed out ten free passes and gave up 17 earned runs.

Port Angeles built off its momentum at the plate from the previous night, racking up five runs in the third inning, headlined by a three-run homer by Roberto Nunez. The Lefties tacked on two insurance runs in the top of the ninth on a two-RBI pinch-hit single by Barrett Rose to seal the deal on Port Angeles's first win of the season.

Elks' pitching combined for eight strikeouts while surrendering 12 hits, six walks, and seven earned runs.

Bend (1-4) will square off against Port Angeles (1-4) in a Wednesday night early season rubber match starting at 6:35 p.m. at Vince Genna Stadium to round out a six-game homestand.
